Magadan Region’s gold output rises 21% to 36.1 tns in Jan–Sep
MAGADAN, Oct 22 (PRIME) -- The combined gold production of companies in Russia’s Magadan Region rose 21% on the year to 36.1 tonnes in January–September, the region’s government said in a statement on Tuesday.
The region’s Tenkinsky City District is the leading gold producer with an output of 14.5 tonnes. Production of alluvial gold amounted to 15.8 tonnes in the period, the government said.
In 2018, companies of the region produced 37 tonnes of gold, and the plan for 2019 is 40 tonnes.
